Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi on Wednesday said that Pakistan will send envoys to six important capitals to highlight Indian brutalities in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).
While addressing the representatives of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Muzaffarabad the PM assured that the government, the people and all political parties will continue to vigorously provide moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmir cause.
The PM said Pakistan has always supported the implementation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions that call for granting the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir. He said that he himself has highlighted the Kashmir issue in all his meetings at the United Nations and other forums. He said he and his cabinet members are in Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The representatives of APHC appreciated Pakistan’s quick response on recent Indian brutalities in IoK.
They said that diplomatic efforts need to be enhanced to sensitise the international community about the situation in the occupied valley. Earlier, the prime minister arrived in the AJK capital Muzaffarabad accompanied by Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mushahidullah Khan, Rana Tanveer, Mumtaz Ahmad Tarar and Kashmir Committee Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
PM Abbasi, in a message, said Pakistan would stand up to the demand of the victims of Indian brutality. He said Pakistan strongly condemns the brutal and indiscriminate use of force by the Indian occupation forces leading to the martyrdom of eighteen innocent Kashmiris in Shopian and Anantnag areas of occupied Kashmir. He said Indian attempts to label the legitimate Kashmir struggle as terrorism cannot deter the valiant people of IoK from their demand of exercising their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
